What to look for
Our own research into the commercial heating sector found that HVAC sales engineers like to work for companies that offer support and training to help them in their role. It also showed that employees prefer to work for manufacturers that have a strong brand and reputation.
What qualities you need
You’ll need a strong technical understanding and an ability to build relationships with a number of people at different levels within the organisation you are selling to. Beyond that you’ll need sector experience, product knowledge, integrity and a good grasp of the current commercial heating market.
